Families get help to buy new shoes and books

SCORES of parents and their children lined up outside the Jalan Othman Bata shoe shop on Saturday to buy school shoes for the new school term that begins on Thursday.

It was part of the Selangor government’s “Back to School Jom Shopping” programme to help low-income families buy school items for their children.
