Eateries to up prices of food, beverages soon due to sugar subsidy reduction

SIBU: Eateries here will increase the prices of their food and beverages in one to two weeks’ time following the subsidy reduction for sugar.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak when unveiling Budget 2014 last Friday, said sugar subsidy would be reduced by 34 sen in a move to prevent more people from having diabetes due to over-consumption of sugar.
