JOHOR BARU: Despite the hot weather, thousands thronged the Sri Muniswarar temple along Jalan Tampoi here to take part in a grand Thaipusam celebration as visitors offered prayers and fulfilled their vows.
Among the crowd, businessman R. Rajasekaran, 52, said, he has been upholding his family tradition of carrying the kavadi every year for Thaipusam since he was seven years old.
