These multi-coloured Ranchu gold fish are among several species of ornamental fish reared by Wong Choon Ming at his farm in Sungei Itek, Gopeng.

THE word “fatt” or prosper in Cantonese can be seen on several signboards as one enters Kampung Baru Lawan Kuda in Gopeng, Perak.

And the same goes for the numeral eight, which sounds similar to “fatt”.
