Not many people start a lifelong career in sports by getting a ticking off. But that’s how it all started with Malaysia’s first professional golf player Bobby Lim Yat Foong.

Bobby was the son of the club caterer serving the Royal Selangor Golf Club in the 1960s. But it was clear the teenager had no desire to follow in his father’s footsteps.
