BAYVIEW Beach Resort’s signature Sunday Buffet Lunch will only be served on the first Sunday of every month effective May 13.

The sumptuous meal at the La Veranda Coffee House from noon to 3pm will also be available during special occasions such as Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.

The halal-certified buffet with some 90 items including a dedicated meatless spread has always been a perennial favourite with Penangites and tourists alike.

Dining here also comes with a scenic vista of the tranquil Batu Ferringhi beach.

Be spoilt for choice with the vast selection of appetisers such as vegetarian hosomaki (sushi rolls), deli chicken mortadella, cold meat platter and mixed seafood with onion in honey mustard dressing.

Salads are also aplenty with tantalising creations like Nyonya pasembur, curried potato salad, gado-gado kampung, nicoise salad and farfalle (a type of pasta).

Soups consist of Manhattan seafood chowder, vegetarian eight treasure winter melon, vegetarian cream of mushroom or Oriental chicken herbal.

For the mains, mutton vindaloo, chicken chop Milanese with creamy tarragon sauce, Nyonya perut ikan, steamed prawn sui mai with abalone egg sauce, ayam goreng berempah and daging kambing masak tomato are just some of the tantalising dishes.

More mouth-watering options are available at the action stalls serving satay, roti canai, char koay teow, assam laksa, Hokkien prawn noodle and Hainanese spring rolls, to name a few.

The health conscious will find the vegetarian corner a sheer delight.

Braised petola with rice vermicelli and black fungus, sautéed spinach in creamy white sauce, pumpkin stew with Sunsweet prunes and Szechuan spicy brinjal are among the many delicious interpretations.

Complete your meal with palate-tingling desserts comprising a selection of cakes and pastries, traditional Malay and Nyonya kuih, assorted fruit jellies and pudding.
