‘Killer monsoon drain’ to be walled up

THE monsoon drain along Jalan Tun Dr Awang in Penang where a 59-year-old businessman drowned in floodwaters has been temporarily barricaded with poles, ropes and reflectors.

State Public Works Department (JKR) director Ahmad Redza Ghulam Rasool said the temporary barricade were placed on Saturday, pending a permanent one.
