First open day for Unimas’ TPOA project


The Orang Asli are taught how to use information and communication technology at the telecentre.

KUCHING: The Telecentre Programme for Orang Asli (TPOA) spearheaded by Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) will hold its first open day at Pos Sinderut, Pahang, tomorrow.

The TPOA project, which aims to reduce the digital gap faced by rural communities, is a joint community and university initiative by Unimas’ Institute of Social Informatics and Technological Innovations (Isiti) in partnership with the Orang Asli Affairs Department, Economic Planning Unit and Rural and Regional Development Ministry.
