• Intensity level: Ranging from Class II to IV rapids
A) One-way travel
i) Rawang town to Pusat Perkelahan Kolam Air Panas Ulu Slim: Approximately 75 minutes
ii) Pusat Perkelahan Kolam Air Panas Ulu Slim to starting point by 4WD: Approximately 20 minutes
B) Whitewater rafting session: Approximately two hours

It’s advisable to arrive on time at the meeting point before transferring into the 4WD so that you will have enough time to change or use the toilet.
At the starting point, you will be briefed on the basic river manoeuvres as well as the do’s and dont’s while sitting in the raft. Keep your head in the game as safety is the top priority.
You will be covering about 6.5km to 7km of Slim River, so expect to encounter lots of rapids. The main highlight is the 2m-drop downstream, known as Jeram Kotak. It’s important to follow the guide’s instruction but don’t forget to enjoy the ride.
After the drop, a quick break with snacks and bottled water is given before the raft continues downstream, followed by lunch at the end of the session.
Before heading home, you can make a pit stop at the natural hot springs.
Check the weather forecast. Even though there is a fairly good flow all year round and good climate, whitewater rafting is not recommended during the dry season.
It’s advisable to wear activewear attire but do bring a spare set of clothes to change into after the activity. Wear either strap sandals, shoes or shoes designed for water activities. For safety, do not wear slippers. Sports glasses and workout gloves are optional.
Apply sunscreen prior to activity or you are likely to get sunburn.
Helmet, paddles and personal floating devices are provided.
Do lock your valuables in the car or hand it to the organiser for safekeeping, as lockers aren’t provided in the vicinity.
As this is an extreme sport, it is not recommended for young children, pregnant women and elderly persons.
