Temple‘s proximity to petrol station worries residents

Moh says she is aware of the fire risk but says it is impossible to curb burning activities because fire is part of the worship.

RESIDENTS at 3rd Mile Jalan Kelang Lama fear devotees may be adding fire to the fuel when they burn joss sticks and paper offerings at the Tiang Hoh Kok Temple this Chinese New Year due to its close proximity to a petrol station.

They worry embers, hot soot and ash from giant joss sticks will catch fire with petrol fumes and cause a disaster.
