Grape plants relish hot spell and bearing succulent fruits

THE current hot spell has done more good than harm to a grape farm owner in Sik, Kedah.

At the 13ha Sungai Senam grape farm in Kampung Sungai Senam, where some 12,000 grape plants are growing, farm supervisor Mohamad Nor Azizi Ismail, 23, said the plants generally survive well in humid and warm weather, as long as they are not directly under the scorching sun.
