WITH deep concentration, Jonsen Choong Zhe Yi carefully placed some soil into a plastic water bottle that had been cut into half before planting a stalk of Indian borage (a type of herb) into the soil.

The 13-year-old student from Han Chiang High School was taking part in an Urban Garden Training workshop organised by Consumers Association of Penang at its premises in Jalan Masjid Negeri on Saturday.
