Stop proposed at Kempas Baru station

The KTM Kempas Baru station in Johor Baru and its surrounding areas will be developed into an integrated transportation hub in Iskandar Malaysia, Johor.

JOHOR BARU: The state government wants KTM Kempas Baru to be one of the two stations in Iskandar Malaysia where the proposed high-speed rail (HSR) linking Kuala Lumpur and Singapore will stop.

Public Works, Rural and Regional Development committee chairman Datuk Hasni Mohammad said Johor had sent a proposal on the matter to the Transport Ministry.
