Heart & Soul: Thank you, music

Sometimes, inspiration and motivation comes from unexpected sources.

ABOUT a year ago, a stranger picked up his guitar and unselfishly did a video shoutout for me – just your average girl next door. I was sitting at my desk, staring hopelessly and blinking at the words on my screen, feeling devastated at what I had just read when a notification appeared on my Facebook profile. It read “Not Wonderwall yet, but a shoutout maybe? :)” Mesmerised and touched, I was happy that someone made (unknowingly) a kind gesture to lift my spirit.
