Substantial shareholder in Cypark emerges


Cypark said Perkeso acquired 42 million Cypark shares on Feb 3 via a direct deal.

PETALING JAYA: Pertubuhan Keselamatan Social (Perkeso) has emerged a substantial shareholder in Cypark Resources Bhd with a 5.49% stake.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, Cypark, a renewable energy-based business, noted that Perkeso had acquired 42 million Cypark shares on Feb 3 via a direct deal.

Cypark has also seen the emergence of the Jakel Capital Sdn Bhd as a substantial shareholder with a 27.33% stake following a private placement of 176.6 million new Cypark shares worth RM67.1mil in January.

Last October, Perkeso had also agreed to invest RM100mil into property developer Tanco Holdings Bhd via subscription of redeemable preference shares.
