Bina Puri accepts RM303m Iraqi govt road project


KUALA LUMPUR: Bina Puri Holdings Bhd's unit has secured a RM303mil contract to build  a dual-lane road in Nasirya city, southern Iraq, boosting its order book to RM1.56bil.

It announced on Monday its unit Bina Puri Sdn Bhd had accepted a letter of award dated June 11 from Thi Qar Governate, Iraq for the project. 

The road will stretch from the  Al-Islah junction to Al-Jabayish at Nasirya City, in the Province of Thi Qar, southern Iraq. 

Bina Puri said the contract, which was for 36 months, was expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the group for the financial year ending June 30, 2020.
