KUALA LUMPUR: Celcom Axiata Bhd is offering 50 per cent discount for its Home Fibre and Business Fibre packages, which are only available in Sabah, in conjunction with Malaysia Day starting Sept 16, 2018 onwards.

Chief Executive Officer Mohamad Idham Nawawi, said this was in line with the government’s call for nationwide high-speed broadband accessibility at affordable prices.

“We will continuously work towards expanding our fibre technology and high-speed broadband Internet access for businesses and communities in both urban and rural areas, further upholding the government’s agenda for nationwide broadband penetration,” he said in a statement today.

The Home Fibre packages now offer customers unlimited high-speed fibre Internet of up to 100Mbps at RM120 per month and the new reduced price for 40Mbps at RM80 per month, with free wireless router and free installation.

The company also said all existing Celcom Home Fibre customers would be upgraded gradually to 100Mbps until the end of September 2018.

“Customers who subscribed to the previous Home Fibre 120, will enjoy 10 times faster Internet speed at 100Mbps at no extra cost,” it said.

As for the Home Fibre 150 and 180 subscribers at 20Mbps and 40Mbps respectively, they would also automatically be changed to 100Mbps Internet speeds at a reduced price of only RM120 per month.
