IHH Healthcare group to venture into Macedonia

KUALA LUMPUR: IHH Healthcare Bhd’s 30% owned associate Clinical Hospital Acibadem Sistina Skopje (Sistina) plans to provide outpatient medical services in Macedonia.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, IHH said Siatina had thus set up two wholly-owned subsisiaries in the Balkan nation - Ordinacija po Interna Medicina Acibadem Sistina Bitola 24 and Poliklinika Acibadem Sistina Bitola 27 - last month.

“Both Medicina Sistina and Poliklinika Sistina have no issued and paid-up share capital as the governing Macedonian laws allow a health institution to be registered without share capital,” said the heathcare service provider, which is 41.1% owned by Khazanah Nasional Bhd.

There will be no material effect on the earnings, net assets or gearing of IHH for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2017.
