KUALA LUMPUR: Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) has signed an agreement with MYTV Broadcasting Sdn Bhd to provide digital terrestrial television infrastructure, network facilities and related services for RM916.10mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Monday, it said the services would be accorded to MYTV for 15 years, from Jan 1, 2016 until Dec 31, 2030, with an option to extend for a term to be mutually agreed on.

“Both TM and MYTV may mutually review the provisions of the agreement every five years with the first review to take place in 2019 and any determination from such reviews shall be mutually agreed and shall not affect the agreement period,” it said.

The initiative is under the purview of the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia.

“TM does not foresee any exceptional risks apart from the operational and business risks associated with the service agreement,” it said. - Bernama
