Axiata Group banks on IoT to drive growth


Axiata Group will use proceeds from the Sukuk issuance for general corporate purposes

KUALA LUMPUR: Axiata Group Bhd is banking on Internet of Things (IoT) as a growth driver, as it embarks on a collaboration agreement with Atilze Digital Sdn Bhd to explore, develop and pursue IoT opprtunities across South-East Asia.

This comes as part of Axiata Group Bhd’s “Axiata 3.0” strategy, where the group expects the IoT sector to grow exponentially over the next two to five years with the largest economic potential in the business to business (B2B) and business to business to consumer (B2B2C) segments.
