MPB upbeat about global pepper market despite lower prices

KUCHING: Malaysian Pepper Board (MPB) remains upbeat about the prospect of the global pepper market despite recent pull back in the prices of the commodity from their historical peaks.

A spectacular six-year rally saw Kuching Grade 1 white pepper soaring to RM50,000 per tonne and black pepper to RM30,000 per tonne in September last year.
