SP Setia wins 7th international FIABCI award

PANAMA CITY: SP Setia Bhd’s corporate headquarters in Setia Alam, Shah Alam, has set a high benchmark for sustainability in Malaysia as it clinched the group’s seventh international FIABCI Prix d’ Excellence award when it was announced the gold winner of the sustainable development category at the prestigious award ceremony held here.

President and chief executive officer Datuk Khor Chap Jen, who received the award on behalf of Team Setia, was elated over the win.

“It is such an honour for us to receive our seventh international FIABCI Prix d’Excellence award, especially in the sustainable development category, which is what SP Setia is all about – delivering eco developments as well as promoting sustainability for our future generations.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their continuous belief and support in what we are capable of delivering and this is another testimony to our culture of excellence at SP Setia,” he said after the award presentation ceremony.

He said the Setia Corporate HQ was conceptualised based on the need to provide a better and more sustainable work environment for Team Setia.

“This stays true to our DNA of building sustainable communities for all based on our development philosophy of live, learn, work and play,” he added.

SP Setia’s previous international FIABCI Prix d’Excellence award wins span across best master plan developments for Setia Eco Park, Setia Eco Gardens and Setia Alam, best retail development for Setia City Mall, best residential (low-rise) development for Setia Eco Park and the unique 28-acre park complex, Eco Greens at Setia Eco Gardens, took home the award for the best purpose-built/specialised project category.

The FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards 2016 was held in conjunction with the FIABCI 67th World Real Estate Congress, which was held from May 21 to 26. FIABCI is the French acronym for The International Real Estate Federation.
