Ringgit opens higher against the dollar


Stronger ringgit: Year-to-date, the ringgit has gained 2.05% against the US dollar, which makes the Malaysian currency one of the top performers in the region so far this year.

KUALA LUMPUR : The ringgit opened higher versus the US dollar today on positive external conditions that boosted the buying of the local note, dealers said.

The ringgit opened today's trading at 3.8900/8970 against the greenback, from last Friday's 3.9000/9050.
