KUALA LUMPUR: Celcom and Maxis may have to possibly pay RM1.7bil each for their spectrums under the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission’s (MCMC) reallocation, says CIMB Equities Research.
“DiGi will have to fork out RM1.1bil for the 1800MHz spectrum, which will reduce our target price by 2.7%. It will also have to pay RM647mil to attain the 900MHz but this could be offset by capex savings given the spectrum’s wider coverage,” it said.
