PETALING JAYA: Some firms in the oil and gas (O&G) sector are likely to be negatively impacted by the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA), although it would preserve Petroliam Nasional Bhd’s (Petronas) vested ownership and exclusive rights to hydrocarbon resources in Malaysia.
The national oil company would also be preserving its discretionary rights to determine how contractual arrangements are awarded to foreign participants.
