Six cars, one motorcycle destroyed in Brunei garage fire

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/Asia News Network): Six cars and a motorcycle were destroyed in a garage fire at a house in Kampong Sungai Tampoi, Sengkurong on the wee hours of Sunday (Feb 27). No injuries were reported during the incident.

Ten firefighters from Jerudong Fire station ‘F’ Operation Branch, led by DSO Misli Pungut, responded to the incident after a distress call was received at 2.35am, according to the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD).

The firefighters arrived to find flames engulfing a garage with six cars inside. The fire also spread to a wall of a house nearby.

They immediately put on breathing apparatus and used two hoses split four ways to extinguish the fire.

The estimated cost of damage and cause of the fire are under investigation.
