Malaysian iPhone fans rejoice! Apple has announced that the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus will go on sale on Oct 16.
In the past we had to wait many months – usually as late as November to January – for the arrival of the new models but it looks like Apple has ramped up production to keep up with demand.
The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus feature higher resolution 12-megapixel cameras (up from 8 megapixels) and 3D touch which recognises how much pressure you apply to the display.
Also, for the first time, Apple is offering its iPhones in Rose Gold colour in addition to the standard silver, grey and gold.
Tim Cook said 13 million units were sold worldwide in just the first three days of launch, exceeding the 10 million sold in the same period last year for the previous models.
Local telcos Maxis, Celcom and Digi have yet to offer any bundles but we expect them to make announcements soon.
Also, Apple has to reveal the prices for the new models. In Singapore, the iPhone 6s starts from S$1,048 (RM3,250) while the iPhone 6s Plus starts from S$1,216 (RM3,800).
