MUSIC MATTERS: Facebook has had discussions with Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group and the Warner Music Group.

The social network has had discussions with Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group, The Verge reports. However, the exact nature of the potential venture is thought to be undecided as of yet.

Speculation is rife that the company could be aiming to capitalise on its successful Facebook Video feature to broaden its entertainment output.
