Arsenal sign Welbeck to long-term deal

LONDON (Reuters) - Arsenal confirmed they had signed England forward Danny Welbeck to a long-term deal from Premier League rivals Manchester United as the transfer window closed on Monday.

The 23-year-old Welbeck, who can play as a centre forward or winger, scored 20 goals in 90 appearances for United and has won 26 caps for England since making his debut in 2011.
