Reconsider EKVE approval


I READ with awe and trepidation the reports “RM1.55bil highway project gets green light” (The Star, Aug 20) and “EKVE project to begin on Sept 1, says MPAJ” (The Star, Aug 29).

Accordingly, the Eastern Klang Valley Expressway (EKVE) which makes up “the final stretch of the Outer Ring Road System and stretches over 24km will connect Sungai Long to Ukay Perdana”. In the process, “EKVE will involve the degazettement of 106ha of the Ampang Forest Reserve (AFR)”.
