Safety tips to practise when jogging or driving

I REFER to the report, “Elderly man on morning walk killed in hit-and-run” (The Star, July 21). The 84-year-old man, Ali Redza Khalid, was left to die in the middle of the road after he was allegedly knocked down by a car.

The police said the two-lane road was dark at the time of the accident and the driver probably did not see the man until it was too late. My condolence to the family of the deceased.
