KIEV (Reuters) - Kiev wants the International Monetary Fund to expand its $17 billion (10.83 billion pounds) bailout package due to Ukraine's worsened economic outlook, new Ukrainian economy minister Aivaras Abromavicius said on Wednesday.
The IMF programme was agreed in April to shore up the ex-Soviet state's foreign currency reserves and support an economy blighted by years of corruption and economic mismanagement. Kiev is now struggling with the extra costs of fighting a separatist rebellion in its eastern territories.
