Jawi: Pre-wedding courses for Malaysian students overseas not expensive


BANGI: The Federal Territory Islamic Affairs Department (Jawi) has defended the move to conduct pre-wedding courses for Malaysian students overseas as it is considered a “cost-cutting” measure.

Jawi director Paimuzi Yahya (pix) said this in response to allegations by PKR-linked National Oversight & Whistleblowers (NOW), which questioned the rationale for conducting such courses overseas by the Malaysian Islamic Economic Development Foundation (YaPEIM).
