Woman who sued Najib sacked

PETALING JAYA: Umno has sacked Anina Saadudin, who had filed a suit against party president Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak over the RM2.6bil donation controversy.

Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said Anina’s membership was automatically terminated because she took party matters to court.

“Umno headquarters made the decision in accordance with Article 20.7 of the party constitution,” he said.

Anina’s “automatic termination” letter was dated Sept 2.

Copies of the letter were sent to Kedah Umno secretary, Langkawi Umno secretary, Wanita Umno Langkawi assistant secretary, and Umno headquarters membership division.

Anina, 40, was a member of Umno Kampung Padang Mat Sirat branch.
