Zahid: The Edge should know which articles got it in trouble

KUALA LUMPUR:The Edge should know which of their articles landed them in hot water, said Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (pic).

"Whoever eat chillies will feel the heat, there is no need for them to ask us which articles involved matters which are not true.

"They should know," he said on Thursday, when asked to comment on The Edge, which wants the ministry to specify which articles led to the show-cause letter that they received.

On Wednesday the Home Ministry issued a show-cause letter to financial daily The Edge over its reports on government investment arm 1MDB.

A ministry’s official told The Star that the publication was issued with a show-cause letter on Monday evening.

This follows a statement last Wednesday by Ahmad Zahid, who had said that The Edge Media Group owner Datuk Tong Kooi Ong should be held responsible for “inaccurate reports” on 1MDB.
