Body found floating near quarry in Pokok Sena

ALOR SETAR: The body of a man believed to be a Nepalese was found floating at a pond near a quarry at Batu 10 in Jabi, Pokok Sena here.

A clerk at the quarry site was alerted to an unpleasant spell, which she first thought was from a carcass of a dog.

Upon inspection she discovered the body at approximately 8.45am on Tuesday.

The body had been sent to the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital’s mortuary for a post-mortem.

The identity and of the deceased has yet to be confirmed but it is understood that one of the Nepalese workers at the quarry site was reported missing last Friday.
