KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysians should not be compelled to adhere to standards set by "ultra-conservatives", said MCA vice-president Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun (pix).
Referring to the recent "sarong" and "towel" incidents, Chew said they threatened to open new rifts in inter-ethnic and religious relations as the rights of the victims have been violated.
