Animal Welfare Bill 2015 passed by Parliament

KUALA LUMPUR: The Animal Welfare Bill 2015 was passed by the Dewan Rakyat on Wednesday, paving the way for harsher punishments for animal abusers.

If convicted, abusers can face a fine between RM20,000 and RM100,000 and a jail sentence of not more than three years.
