Cops give green light for May 1 anti-GST rally at Padang Merbok


KUALA LUMPUR: Police have given the green light for the anti-Goods and Services Tax (GST) rally planned on May 1 to be held at Padang Merbok here however action would be taken if the planned rally was held elsewhere.

City deputy police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Law Hong Soon (pic) said police have received a notice from the organisers of the rally that had been submitted to the Dang Wangi police who had advised the organisers to hold the rally at Padang Merbok.
