PUTRAJAYA: The Auditor-General’s Department has already begun a probe into the 1Malaysia Development Berhad.
Auditor-General Tan Sri Ambrin Buang (pic) said he had met 1MDB president and chief executive director Arul Kanda but did not disclose what transpired during their meeting.
A report will be forwarded to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), which reports to Parliament.
Last week, Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak ordered the A-G to start an independent probe into 1MDB, pledging that the company will face legal repercussions if any wrongdoings are proved.Already a subscriber? Log in
