100 illegal immigrants detained in Malacca bus terminal swoop


MALACCA: One hundred foreigners, including six women, were detained in an operation, codenamed Ops Kutip at the Melaka Sentral bus terminal in Peringgit, here, Sunday.

Malacca Immigration director Mahpof Mahmood said the 100 comprised 32 Indonesian men and six women, 17 Bangladeshi men, 16 Nepalese men, 11 Myanmar men, eight Pakistani men, four Indian nationals and two men each from Sri Lanka, Vietnam and the Philippines.
