BALIK PULAU: Six participants of the nudist event at a beach in Teluk Kampi have been sentenced to one month jail and fined RM5,000 each in default of three months jail after pleading guilty at a Magistrate Court here.
The six are Loh Kok Hong, 41, Mu Wai Peng, 34, Justin Ang Ji Keng, 24, Yam Kam Hoong, 54, Lionel Loo Joo Heng, 52 and R.Nanda Kumar, 40.
They were charged for committing obscene acts at a public space which causes public unrest at the Teluk Kampi beach in Teluk Bahang on May 30 from 3pm to 6pm.
Meanwhile, another four have claimed trial to the same charge.
They are Chew Tok Hua, 57, Chan Chia Wen, 27, Teh Guan Hoon, 37 and Kong Meng Long, 38.
They were charged under Section 294 (a) of the Penal Code for committing obscene acts.
Yam was also sentenced to six months in prison, which will run concurrently with his first charge, after he was found guilty for a second charge of producing obscene video clips at the Teluk Kampi Beach on May 30 from 3pm to 6pm.
He was charged under Section 292 of the Penal Code.
Loh was represented by counsel Allen Choong and T.Suppiah while Jason Khor acted as the defence counsel for Teh.
The others were unrepresented.
Magistrate Mohd Najib Ismail set bail at RM4,000 with one surety for those who claimed trial and fixed Oct 16 for mention.
