PETALING JAYA: A massive traffic jam was caused on Sunday morning due to 12 concrete segments falling off a trailer at Jalan Cheras near the Billion Roundabout flyover.
The 12 girders fell when a trailer carrying 16 MRT concrete segments for the Pudu underground MRT project toppled after the trailer driver hit the emergency brake due to a sudden stop in traffic.
Out of the 12 segments that fell, 10 were two-ton segments, while the other two were one-ton segments.
According to Star Radio Traffic tweet, traffic remained congested at 2.02pm even though the 12 fallen segments had been cleared up.
