Schoolgirl raped by 30 men

PETALING JAYA: A 14-year-old schoolgirl who went out to meet a female friend is believed to have been gang-raped by more than 30 people at an empty house in Ketereh in Kelantan.

Police source said the friend had asked the Form 2 student from Guchil, Kuala Krai, to pick her up in Ketereh.

The girl then contacted a male friend for transport to Ketereh, which is about 30km from Kuala Krai.

The source said that after picking up the victim’s friend in Ketereh, the male companion brought both girls to an empty house in Ketereh to “rest”.

Before they could leave the house, they were stopped by a man.

A little later, at least 40 men came to the wooden house and took both girls into rooms and took turns to rape the victim. It is not known if the other girl was also raped as she has yet to lodge a police report on the incident that took place last Tuesday.

The victim, who fainted after being raped by so many men, woke up the next day with intense pain on her private parts.

The source added that the victim, who was afraid that her parents would learn about the incident, stayed at the house of her boyfriend’s relative until May 24.

It was only then that she told her father in Kuala Krai about the incident.

“When she returned home on Sunday, she was brought to see to the Kuala Krai hospital as her private parts were still bleeding.

Her father then lodged a police report on the incident the same day. The source said police investigations were still ongoing.

Meanwhile, in Kota Kinabalu, an 18-year-old girl who went to answer nature’s call ended up being gang-raped in a plantation in Kinabatangan.

Her traumatic experience began on Monday when a faulty toilet forced her to use a nearby river.

She was tailed by three men, who later grabbed and dragged her to a field before taking turns to rape her.

They threatened to kill her if she disclosed the incident to anyone.

Police managed to arrest the three men on the same day after the girl lodged a police report.

Those arrested were plantation workers aged between 24 and 25.

The victim was referred to the Kinabatangan district hospital for a medical examination.
