PETALING JAYA: A former Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (Miros) director-general has blamed the lack of commitment from bus operators in implementing or including safety policies into their business models as one of the reasons for the country’s major bus crashes.
Road safety expert Datuk Dr Radin Umar Radin Sohadi said his experience in heading investigations and inquiries following some of the country’s major bus accidents had revealed one consistent weakness.
