Police detain parents of teen girl suspected of dumping newborn baby into canal


KANGAR: Police have detained the parents of a 17-year-old girl suspected of throwing her newborn baby girl into a canal, bringing the total number of suspects in the case to six as of Thursday night.

The couple, in their 40s, were detained at 9.47 pm, said Perlis Criminal Investigation Department chief Supt Mohd Nashir Ya here Friday.
