MBPJ to deliberate on commercial conversion of PJ Old Town land titles

Difficulties renewing lease: Many Old Town house owners who use their properties for business have been facing problems in renewing their leases.

PETALING Jaya City Council (MBPJ) will discuss the possibility of changing some parts of Old Town Section 1 and Section 2 from residential status into commercial, said its councillor Tony Cheong.

“We will discuss the issue at the council’s Sustainable Development (Mampan) meeting this month,” he said.
