ABOUT 1,000 jobs will be offered to university graduates and school leavers at the 5th Perak Education & Job Expo 2014 on Saturday and Sunday.

It will be held at Stadium Indera Mulia in Ipoh from 11am to 5pm.

About 27 tertiary education institutions will also showcase their courses, and students will be able to obtain information and gain from educational talks and seminars held during the expo.

Jobseekers will also benefit from the fair as there are 52 booths set up by companies to look for employees.

“There will be plenty of opportunities for jobseekers to look for suitable employment. It will also provide a platform for employers to do recruitment and exhibit their company,” said PenExpo Events Sdn Bhd in a press statement yesterday.

“On top of that, lucky visitors can also walk away with a mini tablet. They need only to fill up the lucky draw forms provided at the registration counter without registering for any study programme or course.”

The expo is jointly organised by the Lions Club of Ipoh (Host), Kelab Anak Malaysia Batu Gajah and PenExpo Events Sdn Bhd, with the support of the state government. About 20,000 visitors are expected to be at the fair.
