THE Masjid India area in Kuala Lumpur is the best place to experience the colourful Indian Muslim culture.

The Masjid India mosque, founded in 1863, is said to be the oldest mosque in Kuala Lumpur, built by Indian Muslim merchants. The Friday sermon is still delivered in Tamil and the congregation is predominantly of Tamil Muslim origin.
