Private waste collectors cry foul

The Taman Beringin transfer station has started operations a day earlier than promised and garbage trucks were seen going in and out of it yesterday.

THE Taman Beringin transfer station is back in operation after the previous operator abruptly abandoned it on Dec 20 last year but for private waste collectors, there are still problems.

Hi-Tech Waste Management Sdn Bhd executive director David Zon said the contractors were are still forced to send the waste to the Jeram landfill, due to an unresolved administration problem.
